Hiking in Kefalonia

Hiking in Kefalonia

Kefalonia, with its lush landscape, full of changes and surprises, is one of the most pleasant islands for hiking. In terms of relief, Kefalonia is the only Greek island that offers the combination of its large, fir-covered, mountain range of Mt. Aenos and a multifaceted inhabited coastal zone. The landscape has great variations, from the agroforestry landscape of Paliki peninsula to the bare Mt. Aghia Dynati.
Although there is no a structured hiking network, the visitor will find many hiking opportunities in all parts of the island, from long mountaineering routes to Mt Aenos to short walks around Fiskardo.
