Waters and springs of Skyros
The geology of Skyros allows the presence of a number of significant or smaller gushes, located at points of contact of limestone with the underlying schists. The most important springs are Anavalsa, near Chora, Nifi at southern Skyros, Loutro and Flea in Kallikri plain etc.
Scattered in Mt. Kochilas we will find small plateaus with terra rossa substrate, which in places retain rainwater for some time during the winter.
