Discover Mt Vardousia

Mt. Vardousia is among the most beautiful mountains of Greece. High, sharp peaks, immense meadows, abundant waters and mythical passes compose an unforgettable mountain scenery. Two refuges, belonging to EOS (Mountaineering Club) Amfissas and POA (Athens Hiking Club) await mountain adventure lovers.

Even though its highest summit, Korakas (2497 m) is particularly precipitous, at least four routes converge at its rocky tip: the classical ascent from Pitimaliko plateau, the path through the Koprisies ravine, the direct ascent via Asanser ravine and finally the satisfying southern ridge. Mt Vardousia offers E4 trail one of its nicest routes, the section between Artotina and Athanasios Diakos. Finally, one more very long route follows the elegant ridge towards Oxia.
